Perhaps you won't hear some say harder words because they say them to their friends and the many new friends they make in the context of love instead shouting them in passing.

Hello Tina,

I have seen this video a lot lately, it truly breaks my heart. We cannot say things like that to people, it is wrong. But then again I do believe they are trying to tell people the truth, she did have some truth. So if that is too strong of an approach (which I believe it is) then how do we know what is and isn't? We do not want to become the type of people who don't even tell the truth when needed to. I have heard of a lot of new churches, a new way to do things. I believe it is called the emergent church? I am not sure, I have not done a lot of study on it, only read a few articles. Have you heard of it? From what I have heard they are very excepting, which is good. But when needed to tell someone what they are doing is wrong, you will not hear them do it. They say "we do not want to be pushy, or shove this down their throat" I can understand that but to what level will it be taken? Any thoughts?

I ran across this family a while back when I was doing some sermon research via google. This is just another example of religion crowding out and drowning the intimacy Christ wants and desires.

Makes me very sad. For those they push away from Christ, for the families they protest and for them. To be so zealous and yet so misguided. I only pray that as they read the word, the Holy Spirit will pull them into the truth and understanding of the greatness that is Gods grace.

But you know... Jesus told us they would be come.

This is my thought everytime I see this family or hear some other person always speaking about the wrath of God and never the grace of God... If the Gospel is such good news, why are we so mad about it?

My thoughts: Oh how I pray that she might experience the love and grace of God. It is so sad to see people who so desperately need to "taste and see that the Lord is good". Whilst I am deeply saddened to see her portrayal of God, Christianity, Jesus, etc, (and what that communicates to those watching), I couldn't help but deeply feel the heartbeat of God for her. It was tempted to hate to be honest, but it was as if Jesus was saying, "I died for her too". May their lack of love not cause us to cease from offering them love. Is it perhaps easier to love those who don't know Christ than those who think they do, but have not truly encountered Him?

This really made me want to cry. I've not heard of this family or anything like this happening in this way before. Imagine how the family of the dead soldier felt as they had to drive past those banners on the day that they were mourning him! My heart breaks for them.

God doesn't want to instill unhealthy fear into hurting people. I feel really sorry for people who are misled and preach a "mad, raving God" who wants everyone to "behave themselves". I don't think that family are "behaving themselves"! This message is probably just what the enemy wants. It makes me even more determined to love hurting people, not add to their pain and confusion about the world.

By no means do I want to make light of this, but the only thing that went through my head as I watched this lady ramble was a response given in the movie Billy Madison -

"what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul."

This lady needs real help.
