If you hear the words Sawyer or Walt and don’t think of Tom or Disney than you too may be addicted!
How about the words Dharma or hatch or Hurley or Kate or Flight 815
or the numbers
4 8 15 16 23 42
I may be a little late in joining the band wagon but now that I have … I am hooked!
Yes, I am talking about LOST …
My sister-in-law owns the first season on DVD. She has been bugging me to watch it for months. Why I chose to watch it now I don’t know. Once I got started I couldn’t stop. Dean, Jason and I would watch episode after episode. One night my son and I were be up until 4:45 AM. In fact, the sun started to come up when we finally went to bed. I got up 3 hours later and went to work but I didn’t care. It was worth it. I watched the entire first season in one week.
So, we finished the first season and then realized that the second season wouldn’t be available on DVD until September. But, oh no, that would not do! Dean did a little research and found out we could download the whole second season on iTunes. It just so happened that around that same time Dean and I got really sick. We were both out of work for about a week. All we felt like doing was watching movies and trying to keep our minds off of being sick. Can you believe I watched the entire second season of LOST on my laptop in 2 days …. that’s right … 2 days!!!
Hi, my name is Christina and I am addicted to LOST!
Anyone else feel the same way? Care to share your thoughts and opinions about the show?

I haven’t watched but the very first episode…I didn’t get it…so I haven’t watched again. Maybe after we get caught up on 24 we’ll start on LOST!

Sam.
We love Lost! We’re up to about episode 7 in series 2 I think. Which reminds me, it’s on tonight! We forgot about it last week.

We are hooked on 24 too. We don’t have cable TV but we got hooked by renting it at Blockbuster. So, now we wait until each season is released on DVD and then watch the whole season in about a week or two. It would be torture to watch 24 one episode one week at a time!!

I agree, the only way to watch these shows is to use Tivo or get the DVD’s…there’s nothing like starting the first episode of the night later than you thought, and realizing 5 hours later that “bed time” was about 4 hours earlier…24 and Lost are so addicting!

This show is crazy good and soooo addictive! It is the crack of TV shows. In short, “I cannot think of a word that would adequately describe the genius” of Lost, “so I am forced to make one up… and that word is…SCRUMTRILESCENT.”

Yes we’ve never watched them, then Steve got the first season when Alias ended. We are going to rent Season 2 next from blockbuster!
Steve just signed up for something at blockbuster that you get buy one get one on Mon-Tues so he plans on using that for the 24 seasons!

Sam - I didn’t think about the fact that not everyone (who watches LOST) wouldn’t be finshed yet. Oh I am glad I didn’t give any clues away in my post then!

HI, my name is Lori, and I am a LOST addict. I not only watch the shows over and over, but I listen every wee to 4 different podcasts that dissect and analyze the show. I am actively following The Lost Experience (go to http://www.thehansofoundation.org and sign up for the newsletter if you don’t know what I am talking about, then go to http://thelostexperienceclues.blogspot.com and start with #1)
The good news: I’ll be living in LA for the season premier and WE MUST HAVE A PARTY. I’ll bring the roasted boar.

Lost is a great show. Few shows I’ve seen have both compelling drama that means something and consistent suspense that rivals major motion pictures. The themes of faith and life have always made it rich experience for me.
I have about four episodes to go and even though I know the main plot points I’m eager to watch whatever ones I can.

Tina,
I too, watched the entire first season in one week. AND, I was also bummed about not getting to watch the second season until September. Your news about downloading from ITunes has just totally got me pumped!
Maybe we should start a “Lost Addicts” Blog to help us cope.

Hi Tina, still LOST and finding my way around vox and followed you here from Niza’s. It was good to get to talk to you at Origins. Would have loved to have had more time.
I’ve never seen a single episode of LOST but I do regret it. All my friends are addicted too. I have the feeling of having just missed the party train when they get going about it! ha ha!

Parke - Do you have 4 episodes from season 1 or 2? My friend Chrissy was over last night and finally finished season 2. She sat glued to my laptop with head phones on until she was done. Her husband and Dean and I would periodically glance over to see how she was reacting to the various plot developments. By the last episode we couldn’t wait to see her reaction! When it was done all she said was,” what the hell just happened?” We busted up laughing.
Erik - You start it and I will be the first member … hahahaha!
Hi Warrior Princess! I do wish we had more time too! The Cafe was so much fun to run. So many nice customers but I didn’t get to have many good conversations because I was so busy! I will add you to my ‘friends’ list so we can stay connected.
Sam - You’re right! Hey Sam, any idea yet why ‘my conversations’ don’t link?
Cal - Sweet! I’m there!
—————
Niza - I love you.
Can we hang out again tonight?? I will get off work early if we can. Let me know.

I am loving LOST! We are about 8 episodes into season 2. I think it’s unlike any other series. There’s a mystical aspect to it that really intrigues me and means that anything is possible!
We’re considering getting into Alias. At the moment we’re watching the first series of CSI New York..

Hi Rachel -
The other series we are hooked on is 24. I don’t think I want to get hooked on anything else. It takes up way too much time already. We don’t even have cable and I got hooked on these shows. If we did have cable I would never leave my house. hahaha

I’ve actually never watched season 1. I’ve meant to borrow it from a friend but keep forgetting. The four I was talking about though were the last four from season 2.

Oh Parke you are in for quite a surprise! Let me know what you think once you are finished.

hey tina, i’ll watch some episodes with you, although if its anything like superman ill leave after the first 40 minutes…actually i left after the first 40 minutes of Erin Brockovich last night as well….hmmmm
i think my attention span is decreasing as the house is in need of more maintenence…
whatever happened to books?!
or just listening to a Radiohead album all the way through??!?!
ok, im sorry, ill let you show me and get me addicted to lost, but we have to drink whiskey and smoke ciggs the whole time.
deal?
haha, i thought not!

My were you right. All the sudden it seemed like the answers to half the mysteries of the season were on the table in plain site and we had 15 new ones. I like what they’ve done, shifting the focus and the ground rules. I’m really looking forward to next season now.
July 5, 2006 at 9:54 am
Tina
Hi Parke … Ha Ha. Yeah, didn’t that frustrate you!
I heard a rumor that next season is only going to have something like 7 episodes and then they are going to take a break for a few months. I wonder if that is true. I guess we will know soon enough.
July 6, 2006 at 2:55 pm
Sam.
Good to see you’re an early adopter with the new VOXSCAPE!
Oh and 24 is GREAT…I think that’s my favourite of all the above programs that have been mentioned. I get very addicted to each new series and end up watching way too many episodes back to back! Can’t wait til the box set of series 5 is out so we can see that!

Tina, between this post and Lori’s run-on LOST obsession, my curiosity got the best of me. Birthday…ipod…itunes…LOST–two seasons! I’m such a peer pressure weenie.

Yes, Gwen, that’s it. Fall into the web that is known as LOST addiction. Did you look up the LOST podcasts yet? I suggest Generally Speaking (they are going over season one episodes and discussing them right now at http://www.ravenscraft.org/podcast/) or The Lost Podcast with Jay and Jack (http://jayandjack.com/). They are free and highly addictive. (evil grin)
