Today for Halloween the whole department dressed up as the Alice in Wonderland characters. We marched around the building and had a pizza party. I felt like I was in grade school again. It was so fun!
All in all it was a good morale building day here at ol’ Dunder Mifflin … ummm I mean Gospel Light!

wow…so cute! I didn’t get dressed up as anything other than a three-layered, northern mama. We got snow the day before, so it was wet, cold and icky.

THANKS Deana! It went really well. It was 4 hours long and I spoke with 6 different people. The job will be very different than what I am doing now. I wont really be designing. But, I don’t care! I would be a janitor just to get into this company.
I believe the connections will be invaluable. I even got to share my passions about helping people and making the world a better place and the women who would be my boss got really excited and told me about a group from Amgen that gets together to discuss exactly that! There are so many perks and so much room to grow there … I just need to get my foot in the door. Over and over it came through how much they value people and want them to excel at their gifts even if that means your boss helping you find another position within the company.
Other perks … they have a car wash, a dry cleaner and 6 restaurants on the Amgen campus. It is huge! It’s like a college. They also have a free gym and encourage people to take breaks and use it. The offer exercise classes too!
Now I wait …. hopefully not too long!!

Now I am off to run a half marathon this morning in Santa Barbara.
